State Licensure: Active Virginia State Licensure as a School Psychologist.
Education: Master's degree or Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degree in school psychology (typically a 60-credit, 3-year graduate program focused on school-based mental health and educational testing).
Core Competencies: Ability to synthesize and interpret diagnostic/assessment data, knowledge of school psychology theory, child development, substance abuse education, tests/measurements, crisis management, and the practical application of counseling and interviewing skills.
