HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide school-based interpreting services in Surprise, AZ on a full-time basis.

The ASL Interpreter will facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and hearing individuals in the educational setting. This role requires strong fluency in both ASL and English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret accurately, professionally, and impartially in real time.

Qualifications

  • Requirements for certification varies based upon state rules and regulations
  • National certification by RID certification is preferred
  • Possess a good memory since an interpreter will need to remember what has been said in order to accurately translate
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
