HealthPro Heritage has a great Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) Opportunity.
Need: Full-time
Location: Mt. Carmel in Manchester, NH
Rate range: $30 -36/hr based on experience
Strong reputation and quality care — Mt. Carmel is nationally recognized for excellence in short-term rehabilitation, and in 2025 was named among the “Best Nursing Homes for Short-Term Rehabilitation.”
Wide range of care settings — They provide short-term skilled nursing & rehab, long-term care, memory care, respite care, etc. As a PTA, this means opportunities to work with diverse populations: post-surgical rehab, older adults, memory care patients, maybe even transitional rehab after hospital stays.
Person-centered, holistic care philosophy — Their mission emphasizes individualized care of “mind, body and spirit,” with focus on dignity, comfort, and quality of life for residents. For a PTA, that can translate to meaningful, relationship-oriented care rather than just “routine therapy.”
Supportive work environment & benefits — According to their careers page, staff at Mt. Carmel enjoy flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, per diem), competitive wages/benefits, opportunities for advancement or continuing education (scholarships via their “Pathways” program), and a culture of respect and support.
Therapist-friendly rehab programs — The facility offers rehab services including PT/OT (physical & occupational therapy), memory care, and other supportive therapies, indicating a functioning therapy department. That means a PTA could have regular caseloads, structured therapy plans, and opportunities to work within interdisciplinary teams — beneficial for professional growth and experience.
Mt. Carmel could be especially attractive to someone who:
Enjoys geriatric care, rehab, and long-term care — because many residents will be older adults needing rehab, memory care, or long-term support.
Prefers stability and benefits — with benefits, scheduling flexibility, and a supportive culture, good for work–life balance.
Values relationship-focused, holistic care — rather than high-volume outpatient rehab, maybe preferring deeper patient relationships and seeing gradual recovery or maintenance over time.
Wants diverse experience — working across rehab, skilled nursing, memory care, maybe palliative/respite care — which can broaden skills and potentially lead to career advancement.
Is interested in continuing education/advancement — their “Pathways” scholarship and training supports career growth for staff.
