Overview

HealthPro Heritage has a great Senior Vice President Opportunity in our Long-Term Care Division.

The primary purpose of the position is the management and administration of all aspects of rehabilitation services for clients of HealthPRO Management Services, LLC in multiple regions.  The Senior Vice President of Operations continually assesses, monitors, and manages the quality and cost effectiveness of rehabilitation services provided and functions as a member of the Company’s senior management team providing leadership for the Company, in alignment with our mission and values.

  • Compensation Range: $130,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

Clinical Management

  • Assures RVP’s have resources required to ensure residents needs are met, treatment is well-documented, good outcomes are achieved, and the practices operate efficiently
  • Assures implementation of best practices throughout division
  • Contributes to region in-services and training
  • Functions as a resource for clinical program and caseload development
  • Participates in Region Documentation Audits
  • Participates in Region RD conference calls / meetings

Customer Relationships

  • Meets with key facility leadership during site visits
  • Functions as RVP during RVP PTO and RVP Vacancy
  • Addresses customer and RVP concerns in timely manner and communicates issues to Senior Management as needed
  • Participates in monthly and quarterly operations’ reviews with customer senior management team
  • Reinforces communications from the Company regarding reimbursement and other industry updates
  • With RVP, participates in facility rehab budgeting process as needed
  • Assists RVPs with identification of value-added services
  • Monitors results of semi-annual customer satisfaction surveys and facilities improvements where needed

Financial / Operational Management

  • Facilitates development of annual region budgets
  • Assures the clinical, operational, and financial success of division
  • Achieves optimal practice performance through mentoring, problem-solving, brainstorming, and supervising RVPs
  • Utilizes therapy management systems to track key metrics and optimize practice performance
  • Works with IT to assure metrics and management reports reflect optimal business practice
  • Facilitates weekly operations reviews with RVPs
  • Participates in weekly Senior Management Team calls
  • Facilitates fiscally sound contract re-negotiations as needed
  • Assures effective allocation of resources throughout region to meet priority needs
  • Participates in Quarterly Board of Directors meetings as requested
  • Participates in other senior management functions as needed to assure customer and company success

 Marketing & Growth

  • Identifies region growth opportunities with RCPs, including for various product lines
  • Assures training and education of RVPs of new product lines and regulatory changes
  • Participates in meetings with prospective customers
  • Assesses prospective customer proposals
  • Participates in rollouts of new contracts
  • Participates in health care conferences with presentations and at booth as requested
  • Determines division growth needs, including timing of new RVPs and DCOs

Human Resource Management

  • Assures compliance and integrity in all aspects of division performance
  • Assures effective and efficient coordination of operations and recruiting for division
  • Completes performance reviews for RVPs
  • Assures staff clinical competencies, including compliance with continuing education requirements, licensure and credentialing

General Essential Functions

  • Maintains a current knowledge of law and regulations regarding services and consults with supervisor to ensure that all employment actions are in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Attends and participates in scheduled training, educational classes and meets required or requested for position
  • Ensures a safe environment and utilizes tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional
  • Reports all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries and equipment to Supervisor/appropriate personnel immediately
  • Responds to and acts appropriately in emergency or disaster situations
  • Adheres to high standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code
  • Adheres to all policies of company, including job description, certification requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and resident rights
  • Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks and is flexible in carrying out assignments
  • Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively with others ensuring a cooperative environment while maintaining self-control
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the position and are in the best interests of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology or an Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant or an Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Current license in the state
  • A minimum of 10 years plus of rehabilitation experience
  • Proven leadership and program development/management experience, including multi-site management experience
  • Knowledge of state, federal and therapy practice act legislation/law and accreditation standards
  • Interdisciplinary management and understanding essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience
  • Must pass Medical and Physical examination based on job qualifications, requirements and duties/responsibilities
  • Valid driver’s license and means of personal transportation to service multi state geography as defined from time to time
  • Ability to travel frequently including overnight stays and out of state required
