Exciting RESTORATIVE AIDE PART-TIME Opportunity to join our Rehab Team!

 

*MUST BE EITHER 1)CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (COTA);  2)LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN);  3)PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) or 4) LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANT (LNA).

 

Pay Range Based on your discipine, years experience, and clinical interview.

Responsibilities

Position: Restorative Aide
The Restorative Aide is responsible for performing designated routine tasks related to the 
operation of restorative service and be responsible for weekly and monthly weights of residents.
 
Duties Performed:
1.   Follows through with treatments as designated by the Licensed Nurse and/or Therapist.
2.   Completes all paperwork daily and monthly required for resident care.
3.   Completes and records all resident weights on weekly or monthly basis, as well as all ne 
admissions.
4.   Maintains stock or equipment and maintains a safe, neat, and efficient working environment.
5.   Attends meetings and in-services as directed by facility, i.e. Restorative Rehab Meetings.
 
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1.   Some knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy, 
occupational therapy, and/or speech language pathology.
2.   Considerate knowledge of the possible hazards of residents during treatment, precautions to be 
observed in lifting and moving residents, and if necessary, precautionary, and remedial measures.
3.   Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with residents.
4.   Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
 
Special Requirements:
1.   Must have good health and physical stamina, will be required to stop, push, pull, lift, and 
carry when moving residents and equipment.
2.   Must demonstrate emotion stability. Will need to cope with residents’ demands. Will need to 
deal with mood changes in residents.
3.   Must be able to accept supervision.
4.   Must be able to maintain resident information as confidential material.
5.   Must be willing to work with the realization that errors may have serious consequences for the 
resident.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
1.   Must have completed the necessary requirements as a Certified or Licensed
Nursing Assistant or Activities Personnel or Therapy Assistant.
2.   Completion of an on-the-job restorative aide orientation program.
