Overview

HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for an American Sign Language Interpreter for the Upcoming School Year For the area of Northbrook, IL!!

 

 

  • Start Date – March 17, 2025 - End Date – May 30, 2025 & School hours are 8:30-3:30
  • Full Time Preferred + benefits package along with Full Time Status Hourly: $39-41 DOE
  • Must hold the ISBE Educational Interpreter approval. 
  • Opportunity to support a student who is visually impaired and deaf, and accesses sign language through a limited visual field. Tactile sign language is not required. An ideal candidate is someone flexible, adaptable, and willing to collaborate with a creative and dynamic team of special education and general education staff.

Qualifications

  • Requirements for certification varies based upon state rules and regulations
  • National certification by RID certification is preferred
  • Possess a good memory since an interpreter will need to remember what has been said in order to accurately translate
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development
