Duties and responsibilities:
• Provides skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and
by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
• Adheres to state requirements for supervision of COTAs to provide services with the highest
care standards
• Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise
programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment;
recommending follow-up programs.
• Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding
patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy
as well as discharge summaries.
• Maintains patient records confidentially.
• Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
• Complies with the applicable State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, rules and regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per
protocols.
• Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
• Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other
professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
• Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
• Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
• Attends meetings as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned
INDCLIN
• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current State Occupational Therapist license
• Current NBCOT certificate
• Current CPR certification
• Efficient problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication skills and time management skills
• Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities
